Who watched the Orange Bowl last night?

Ohio State vs Clemson

A game ridiculed by dirty plays and tackles, injured players, and interceptions. Both teams played tough and fought hard. Unfortunately for Ohio State, Clemson defense were prepared for junior Braxton Miller. They almost seemed to know each of his plays ahead of time, and when he threw the ball there was a Tiger there to smash it to the ground. Tahj Boyd played well, throwing for 378 yards, Sammy Watkins set records with 16 catches for 227 yards. Braxton Miller threw for only 234 yards. Ohio State had the chance to win in the last two minutes of the game, but Braxton Miller threw an interception causing Clemson to win 40-35. Coach Meyer, Ohio State, says this loss will sting because they didn’t finish.

Bay area sports fans have watched the San Francisco 49ers and Giants play there for 40 years. Tonight marks the last NFL game in Candlestick park. The park affectionately named, the Stick, was home to Willie Mays and Willie Mccovey also football stars today such as Colin Kaepernick. The Giants have been playing in their new stadium for several years, and the 49ers will move to Levis Stadium in Santa Clara. Positive side to this is were also saying goodbye to the extreme cold temperatures and wind tunnel stadium. Farewell Candlestick, may your memories live on forever!

Packers at Vikings

The first tie of the season, Vikings at Packers 26-26. This brings the injured Packers to a 5-5-1 and the Viking to a 2-8-1 record. The packers have been on a slippery slope since Aaron Rodgers’ collar bone injury in week 12. Both teams played sloppily, the Vikings dominated 23-7 in the first three quarters. The Pack already with two injured quarterbacks were on their third strings quarterback Scott Tolzien when after the third quarter they benched him and put in back up Matt Flynn. Flynn there for 218 yards and helped tie the game at 23-23. The teams went into overtime and were both only able to score field goals and had to settle for the 26-26 score.

Brett Favre: Coming Back?

Many teams this year are desperate for a quarterback. One of these teams is the St. Louis Rams. Just how desperate are they? They chose to call Brett Favre this week and see if he would unretire and come play for them. Unfortunately for the Rams Brett Favre reportedly declined the offer through his agent, Bus Cook. He is currently a volunteer offensive coordinator coach for a high school team in Mississippi.

Adrian Peterson

Thoughts and prayers going out to Adrian Peterson, Vikings and his family today. His 2 year old son is in the hospital in Sioux Falls, SD and is in critical condition after what seems to be abuse by Joseph Robert Patterson. The child is currently living with him and his mother. The child as of right now is unresponsive. The suspect has been arrested and put on a $750,000 bond. He also had prior convictions of domestic violence against another women and child. Will keep everyone updated as I know more.
